Meet Brian Lin, D.D.S.
Dr. Lin grew up in the Napa Valley, he attended high school in Pacific Union College Preparatory School and later attended college in Pacific Union College, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Art. He enjoyed classes such as life sketching, illustration, acrylic painting, pottery, and graphic design. Dr. Lin also met his significant other, Mrs. Lin while attending college. They married in 2002.
In 2008, Dr. Lin graduated with honors with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Southern California. Dr. Lin was awarded membership in the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). Members of OKU are inducted for demonstrating high standards of scholarship, character, and potential for future professional growth. Membership is extended to the top 12% of a graduating dental class and is considered high honor in the dental profession.
After obtaining his DDS degree, Dr. Lin set out to search for a private practice, he knew he would like to be back in beautiful Northern California. Dr. Lin began his dental career as an associate dentist in Santa Rosa. He found his "perfect practice" in Woodland and moved to Woodland in 2011. In 2017, he finished building his state of the art facility and moved there in November 2017.
Dr. Lin enjoys caring for the dental health of his patients, and he is continuously keeping up and adopting the latest dental information and technologies so that he can provide the most up to date and effective treatment modalities to his patients. Dr. Lin especially has an affinity for designing the "perfect smile" for his patients. He utilizes his background in art in every cosmetic case that he does. Dr. Lin believes that cosmetic dentistry should include the lips and face that frames the teeth. His approach enables him to produce an end result that is both natural and functional. Since 2011, Dr. Lin has adopted the following technologies.
- Intra oral cameras for improved communication and education with patients.
- 2D and 3D digital radiology for accurate diagnosis
- The latest CAD/CAM technology which creates 3 dimensional virtual casts through digital scanning of teeth, replacing the need to take physical impressions with impression materials on a tray.
- 4 axis milling machines for same day crown delivery
- Dental Implants for missing teeth. Dr. Lin believes that dental implants should be the standard of care for most patients with missing teeth due to how natural dental implants feel once the treatment is completed
- Laser handpieces that replace the use of conventional hand pieces to prep teeth. Laser dentistry eliminates the high pitched noise that results in dental anxiety in many patients. It also eliminates the use of needles/syringes to deliver effective dental anesthesia in most patients. The wavelength from the laser can induce comfortable anesthesia for most patients and thus eliminates the use of needles or syringes.
- 4D dentistry from Modjaw can record the motion of a patient's jaw in real time. Modjaw allows the integration of data obtained from a patient's 3D scans and CAD CAM scams with the patient's jaw motion to create a virtual patient. This information is crucial for producing a beautiful smile and proper function and relation of the restored teeth with the movement of the jaw.

- EM FACE for youthful and toned skin through natural means without going under the knife. EM FACE achieves this by inducing the skin to produce more collagen and elastin naturally by use of RF and improving facial muscle tone by EMHI reversing the effects of gravity on the face.
Dr. Lin hopes that the technologies that he has adopted will work together to help achieve a naturally beautiful smile for his patients, where beautiful natural looking teeth are complemented by younger looking skin.
Dr. Lin and his wife have a daughter and son who are both attending high school. Their daughter enjoys being in the Varsity Volleyball team in Davis Senior High and their son enjoys playing club soccer. Both children have interest in the medical and dental field as their future professions.
When Dr. Lin is free, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, cycling, and skiing. He also has a love for classic air-cooled cars such as Porsches, VWs and Fiats. He hopes to be able to instill in his children the same enthusiasm and love he has for classic cars.
Dr. Lin also likes to stay involved in the community and has been a proud sponsor of Yolo Brewfest, Meals on Wheels, and SquareOne Project at the Woodland Public Library. Dr. Lin also loves the arts and has been able to sponsor some productions for the Woodland Opera House. Dr. Lin was also a member of the Rotary Club pre-pandemic.
